Los Angeles' No. 2 prospect pitched three scoreless innings Saturday in his second Spring Training outing as the Dodgers battled to a 5-5 Cactus League tie with the Seattle Mariners.

Eovaldo, who allowed a run on two hits over 1 2/3 innings out of the bullpen on Monday, yielded two hits and nothing else in his latest appearance.

"I felt it went pretty well," he told MLB.com. "I felt a lot better today than my last outing. I felt a lot more relaxed ... just not rushing, trying to get a nice rhythm and work ahead of batters, so I'm not battling to get back."

The 2008 11th-round Draft pick climbed from Double-A Chattanooga (6-5, 2.62 ERA) to the help the Dodgers down the stretch in 2011. In his first 10 Major League games, including six starts, the 21-year-old right-hander went 1-2 with a 3.63 ERA.

The Dodgers' five-man rotation appears full with the likes of veterans Clayton Kershaw, Chad Billingsley, Ted Lilly, Aaron Harang and Chris Capuano. Eovaldi could be ticketed for the bullpen or Triple-A Albuquerque.

Eovaldi's counterpart, Hisashi Iwakuma, surrendered two runs on four hits over four innings.

Preceding the Mariners' four-run sixth, third baseman Kyle Seager smacked a solo homer off Jamey Wright, the first of five Dodgers relievers. Seager is hitting .353 (6-for-17) with four RBIs and five runs in six games.
